I am a retired member of the Department of Mathematics of the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands.
My research interests are:

  • history of mathematics and its applications in medieval Islamic civilization and in Greek antiquity,
  • history of mathematics in the period 1500-1850 (with focus on the Netherlands).
